COMMUNITY OUTINGS

JTB’s community outings are designed to immerse clients in the communities in which they live while in a safe and supported environment. Our outings focus on both social and functional skills, and strive to provide our clients with a sense of independence and confidence amongst friends. Our outings include everything from small social gatherings at restaurants to large outings at sporting venues and amusement parks.

COMMUNITY CLASSES 

JTB’s community-based classes were designed by experienced, NJ state-certified educators to build skills that are not always fully addressed in the traditional high school setting. While much of the high school experience focuses on academics, there is often less emphasis on preparing young adults for the practical responsibilities that come after graduation—such as independent living, managing finances, and entering the workforce without a college degree.

JTB recognizes this gap and helps bridge the transition from high school to adulthood through semester-long classes focused on daily living skills, financial literacy, pre-vocational skills, community-based learning, and special interests.

Classes provide practical, hands-on learning that participants can apply to their everyday lives and are open to all community members!
