Welcome to Life Lab!
Life Lab is a skills-based program open to any individual who has graduated from high school and is looking to build the skills and confidence needed for greater independence. Whether the next step is college, employment, independent living, or simply becoming more confident navigating adulthood, Life Lab helps bridge the gap between high school and what comes next.
The program focuses on developing and maintaining essential skills in financial independence, independent living, social communication, and community safety. Led by state-certified educators, Life Lab combines hands-on instruction with real-world experiences to build a strong foundation for greater independence and active participation in the community—both as part of a group and independently.
Participants have access to the Life Lab Curriculum, along with full use of the Life Lab kitchen, learning center, art lounge, and the community as their classroom!
Client-Centered Personalized Programming

At Life Lab – every individual’s journey begins with them. Our client-centered approach means we design personalized programming that honors each person’s goals, strengths, and unique path toward independence. Whether focusing on social growth, vocational training, wellness, or community engagement, every plan is crafted collaboratively—empowering participants to take ownership of their learning and life choices. Through hands-on experiences, real-world connections, and compassionate support, Life Lab transforms everyday moments into meaningful opportunities for self-discovery and success.
Community-Based Instruction

Learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our program immerses participants in authentic, real-world environments where they can apply daily living, social, and vocational skills with purpose and confidence. From shopping locally and navigating transportation to volunteering and engaging with neighborhood businesses, every experience is designed to build independence and meaningful community connections. By fostering inclusion and self-advocacy, Life Lab empowers individuals to not only participate in their communities—but to belong and thrive within them.
Pre-Vocational Training

Our pre-vocational training program helps participants build the foundational skills needed for success in today’s workplace. Through hands-on activities, structured job simulations, and real-world practice, individuals learn the essentials of responsibility, teamwork, time management, and professionalism. We focus on uncovering each participant’s strengths and interests, connecting them to meaningful opportunities that promote confidence and readiness for employment. Life Lab equips every learner not just to find a job—but to develop a sense of purpose, pride, and belonging in the world of work.
Social Opportunities

Connection is at the heart of everything we do at Life Lab. Our social opportunities program creates safe, supportive spaces for participants to build friendships, strengthen communication skills, and enjoy shared experiences. From group outings and themed events to collaborative projects and everyday moments of laughter, Life Lab fosters genuine relationships and a strong sense of belonging. Through social skill development and community engagement, participants learn to express themselves, navigate social settings with confidence, and celebrate the joy of being part of something bigger—together.
